Dr. Puja Bhakta

Proudly born and raised in Texas, Dr. Bhakta spent her childhood in Ozona until college when she moved to San Antonio to attended St. Mary’s University. She went on to attend the University of Texas School of Dentistry where she graduated with a distinction in dental education and was the recipient of many awards including the Gies Foundation Fellowship Award and the Women’s Fellowship Leadership Award. It was only after dental school that Dr. Bhakta’s interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was sparked. To pursue this dream, she moved to New Orleans to complete an internship at Louisiana State University and went on to begin residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She then moved to Boston to complete her training through Harvard University at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is now board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Bhakta diligently operates within the full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, pathology, TMJ, cleft lip and palate, and dental alveolar surgery including bone grafts, dental implants, and wisdom teeth. She also has extensive training in providing general anesthesia and the medical and surgical management of complex ICU and trauma patients. She is truly a lifelong learner and is always pursuing continuing education opportunities to stay ahead of new surgical and technological advances in her field. She prides herself on patient education and feels that every patient deserves the extra time and attention it takes to make them feel empowered and more knowledgeable regarding their medical and dental decisions. 

In her spare time, Dr. Bhakta enjoys traveling, exploring new breweries, and spending time outdoors with her husband, their newborn baby girl, and Charlie, their black lab puppy. 

Dr. Seubert’s passion for being an oral surgeon stems from the wide range of procedures he did during his training. He continues a full-scope practice, specializing in procedures including wisdom teeth, dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, cleft lip and palate, corrective jaw surgery, and TMJ.

While attending Maquette University in 2008, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biomedical Sciences.  He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2012. Following that, Dr. Seubert completed his residency for oral surgery at the University of Oklahoma. He furthered his education and became board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Seubert’s practice revolves around ensuring his patients have a great experience and best outcomes possible. He lightens the atmosphere with (bad) dad jokes to keep the patients comfortable, as he knows visiting an oral surgeon can be a challenging and anxiety provoking day for many. He’s passionate about exploring new approaches, technology, and techniques to enhance patients’ results, and believes continuous educations is crucial for providing top-notch care.

On Fridays at the office, you can count on Dr. Seubert to be wearing cowboy boots and listening to Eric Church. He is not only a skilled Oral Surgeon but also a loving husband and father. He is married to his high school sweetheart Jen, and they have four very active kids. In his free time, you will find him attending his kid’s sporting events and traveling whenever they can.
